AMC Names Broward New Exec VP-Marketing

Douglas Broward has been named executive vice president of marketing in an advance affirming his continuing contributions to AmericasMart business and brand growth, according to Jeffrey L. Portman, Sr., vice chairman and president of AmericasMart parent AMC, Inc.

Broward’s appointment was made by action of the AMC, Inc. board at its quarterly meeting.

Broward officially joined AmericasMart in February 2012 in the newly created position of senior vice president of Branding.  His 2012 appointment followed a long association with Americasmart in his capacity as creative director for Grizzard Communications Group during the agency’s AMC engagement. During his tenure, he’s successfully built an omnichannel team responsible for conceptualizing and implementing marketing programming supporting AmericasMart’s 14 annual markets and shows.

“When Douglas joined us, he was charged with creating and sustaining AmericasMart brand continuity across all shows, markets and business lines through all marketing communications channels and in on-site branding” says Portman. “His huge contributions have far exceeded that charge with a long list of successfully executed marketing and branding innovations positioning us for continued growth in the rapidly evolving industries we serve.”

Broward is a highly regarded member of the design and creative community following almost 20 years of agency experience as chief creative officer of Grizzard Communications Group as well as his own agency. His work has garnered numerous industry accolades including the Addy, AMY and Echo awards.
