Capel Moves To New Showroom In Vegas

Capel Rugs has moved to a new year-round showroom on the first floor of Building A of the World Market Center in Las Vegas.

The company, which had been showing on the second floor of Building A, now occupies Space A-133. Capel Rugs’ showroom is located in the Las Vegas Design Center, a year-round resource for the regional interior design community and a national market resource for buyers shopping the furniture and home décor categories during the Las Vegas Market. The next Las Vegas Market, set for this summer, will be held July 31 to Aug. 4.

“We’re excited about our new location, which is centrally located and very convenient for buyers to visit,” said Cameron Capel, vice president of national accounts for Capel Rugs. “Many retailers and designers start their shopping on the first floor of Building A, so we expect our showroom to be a popular destination at this summer’s market — and throughout the year.”

In its new location on the first floor, Capel Rugs is situated near a number of other major resources, including Four Hands, Global Views, Eastern Accents and LMS Design Group. The Las Vegas Design Center features a total of 30 design-driven showrooms, with categories that include fine furniture, rugs, decorative accessories, wall décor, lighting, floor coverings, fabric and trim.

“Being on the first floor will give us even higher visibility as a leading source for fashion-forward rugs. Not only is the prime location convenient for buyers, but those not already familiar with our brand won’t be able to miss us either,” said Suzanne Berger, showroom manager. “This is an amazing opportunity and we’re looking forward to the summer market!”

To maximize the impact of its new, prime location, Capel Rugs has created a fresh layout that features faux-brick wall treatments. The faux-brick “walls” — which convey a warm feeling similar to a vintage loft — provide a perfect backdrop for the company’s trendsetting contemporary, transitional and traditional rug designs.

The new showroom also incorporates select pieces of furniture from sources such as Four Hands and Uttermost to give buyers a better idea of how Capel’s rugs coordinate with the latest in home furnishings. A stunning chandelier in the middle of the space adds a crowning touch.

In addition, the new showroom features a hospitality area, where fresh-brewed Starbucks® coffee will be available to visitors.

“The layout of our new showroom offers additional presentation opportunities that will enable us to show a large assortment of our latest rugs, while also providing space to incorporate accessories that demonstrate how well our designs coordinate with a diverse range of interior design products,” said Mary Clara Capel, director of administration for Capel Rugs.
