Capel Publishes High Impact Print Catalog

Capel Rugs’ long, rich history as a leading U.S. producer of beautifully designed hand-woven, machine-made and braided rugs receives a bright spotlight in its new, high-impact print catalog now being distributed to retailers nationwide.

The 212-page catalog devotes its opening section to Capel’s popular line of braided rugs, which the family-owned company has been producing in its Troy, N.C., factory since 1917. Today, 105 years after its founding, braided rugs remain the heart of Capel Rugs, with more than 25 different collections currently offered. Unique to Capel Rugs, this versatile and stylish construction is suitable for any home — and any room.

As part of this theme, fun facts about Capel Rugs appear throughout the catalog. These “Capel Curiosity” boxes provide surprising insights into memorable moments from the company’s past, such as when a Capel rug appeared in the 1982 sci-fi movie classic, “E.T.”

Designed for dealer, designer and consumer use, Capel Rugs’ comprehensive new catalog — Volume 105 in a series — features the full range of diverse rugs Capel has to offer, including flat woven, hand-knotted, hand-loomed, hand-tufted and machine-made rugs. Additional sections provide details on custom programs; licensed designer collections created in collaboration with Genevieve Gorder and COCOCOZY; and Capel Anywhere, the company’s line of durable yet stylish rugs designed for both outdoor and indoor use. In all, the new Capel Rugs catalog features more than 100 rug collectxions.

The catalog’s fresh, fashion-driven design includes an extensive selection of stunning room scenes, including creative, full-page lifestyle vignettes in both indoor and outdoor settings. In addition, a wide variety of close-up shots also are featured, illustrating the style details, height/thickness and texture of rug constructions and rich colors of the Capel Rugs line.

The catalog is very consumer-friendly, providing valuable insights on rug design, color and construction trends, a glossary of rug terms and more. Each rug collection is paired with lively copy that discusses the inspiration behind the design and special features to help consumers make informed shopping decisions.

The catalog also includes the key information retailers need to make buying decisions for their stores, such as rugs’ fiber contents, country of origin, sizing, pile height and price range. In addition, the catalog features a section on “Sales Tools,” a compendium of sales and display resources to help retailers successfully merchandise Capel rugs.
