Expectations High For 2011 NYICS

New York, NY (July 20, 2011) — After a sold-out show last year, owner of the show, Dennis Dodds, says that the New York International Carpet show (NYICS) is the “strongest story in the high-end handmade carpet industry and we’re gaining momentum every year.” Dodds gives credit to his exhibitors. “Our vendors are the leaders in this field. They challenge uncertainty with creative ideas and confidence. Business as usual doesn’t work anymore. In this economy, ‘new’ sells and fresh approaches are essential to motivate buyers. Show-stopping colors and textures make the difference.”

The show is a convenient one-stop experience for designer-quality handmade carpets. 7 West’s home furnishings trade center creates an anchor destination in the middle of New York City during Fall Market Week. “It raises the visibility of our exhibitors and extends our reach into a larger and more varied pool of buyers,” says Dodds.

NYICS reaches out to a national database of specialty retailers, designer showrooms, home furnishings buyers, and attendees at the New York Home Fashions Show, Architectural Digest’s Home Show and High Point. This pulls trade traffic and new faces to NYICS.

Show hours are 9am-6pm on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, September 11-13.
