Foxworthy brings to the 2012 ICON HONORS celebration the engaging wit and wisdom that has powered his career over more than 25 years of work in such in such hit programs as the Jeff Foxworthy Show, Blue Collar TV, Foxworthy’s Big Night Out and the Fox TV prime-time quiz show Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?.  He is the largest selling comedy recording artist of all times and has multiple Grammy nominations.

Foxworthy’s signature You Might Be a Redneck If…album series defined the American “redneck” comedy genre and helped establish his trademark style.

His comedy, and its light-hearted portrayal of American life, capture the essence of our culture and echo much of what ICON HONORS 2012 and its focus on American ingenuity celebrates, observes Portman.

“Across the history of American cultural innovation and ingenuity, few individuals achieve true iconic status.  Jeff Foxworthy’s humor touches the heart and soul of who we are with good-spirited originality.  He has the rare ability to find and to celebrate the best in all of us, to help us laugh at ourselves and to take pride in our heritage.  He’s iconically authentic and a champion for all,” Portman adds.

Foxworthy will help headline a night of revelation and celebration with top achievers from across the home and gift industry vying for and receiving coveted ICON HONORS for superior work and accomplishment in the highly selective Innovation, Contribution and Achievement categories.  The ICON HONORS 2012 celebration is the must-attend event in the July 2012 Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market with admission open to all registered Market attendees.

“It’s the hottest ticket in town,” notes Marc Rice, chairman of ICON HONORS co-sponsor the Gift & Home Trade Association (GHTA) and Ganz vice president.

“Nowhere in the gift and home furnishings industry will you find the collection of talent, achievement, energy, anticipation and excitement that ICON HONORS creates. Just like Jeff Foxworthy, it is a true American original—not to be missed,” adds Rice.
