KAS Teams With Hang Ten To Create New Line

KAS Rugs is excited to announce their partnership with the fun, free-spirited and coastal lifestyle brand, Hang Ten. This new license brings a refreshing young vibe and diversity to the KAS line. With Hang Ten’s philosophy being “fun in the sun,” KAS is thrilled to be jumping on board with such an established and well-recognized surfing lifestyle brand.

“We are incredibly excited to launch the Hang Ten rugs after an exciting product development process. Hang Ten adds a new branding twist to our licensing mix and reaches an untapped customer base for KAS. We are looking forward to working closely with the Hang Ten and Jewel Branding teams to spread this fun-loving brand into homes across the US,” said Santhi Yarlagadda, Vice President, KAS.

Founded in 1960 in California, Hang Ten and its signature footprint logo is currently licensed in apparel, swimwear, sunglasses, footwear, outdoor recreational products and most recently fashion bedding. Via Jewel Branding, Hang Ten continues to seek expansion of its portfolio of surf-and-sun lifestyle designs into a variety of home categories, including rugs, home décor accessories, furniture and tabletop. With over 2000 retail partners worldwide and over a billion dollars in retail sales, Hang Ten continues to expand the brand’s footprint extensively and has reached global success in many countries including: United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, China, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, South Africa, and more.

“Given the rapid growth of Hang Ten in multiple categories, we felt the timing was right to enable our customers to experience the brand throughout their homes, making Hang Ten a true lifestyle brand,” said Marc Setton, CEO, Hang Ten. Added Ilana Wilensky, VP, Jewel Branding: “The brand is synonymous with beach and outdoor lifestyle which translates very well across many home categories.”

This summer, KAS is launching 3 Hang Ten Rug Collections:

Malibu offers hand-woven chunky rugs constructed of easy-to-clean polyester that can evoke a California lifestyle or a bohemian vibe. A trendy color palette and corner tassels add depth and dimension to the room while keeping it fun and flirty. An assortment of 6 styles offered across 4 sizes kicks off this look.

Palm Beach presents simple yet polished hand-woven jute rugs in two looks: a chunky solid weave and a smoother, chic version with stripes. These natural, rustic rugs bring a refined neutral element into any space for adults or kids while keeping with the organic, beachy vibe of the Hang Ten brand. Available in 4 sizes, the initial assortment consists of six trend-colored rugs.

Rounding out the bunch is the highlight collection — Sunset Beach gives you natural jute and saari silk flatweaves that represent a free spirit with a boho look and feel we all love. Sunset Beach rugs will add a relaxed vibe to any room and are lightweight enough to roll up and take to the beach! Offered in 3 chic colorways, these rugs come in a variety of 5 sizes including a 27” x 45” scatter size up to a swanky 8’6” x 11’6”.

In the top of bed category, Hang Ten products are found at a diverse range of retailers and e-commerce sites from Bed, Bath & Beyond to Nordstrom, Kohl’s and Hayneedle. Hang Ten rugs can be found this summer at Bed, Bath & Beyond, Hayneedle and Wayfair to kick off the launch.

Hang Ten joins KAS’ licensing portfolio of lifestyle brands, which also include Libby Langdon and Bob Mackie Home.
