Nourison Launches Abboud Collection
Nourison introduced the much-anticipated Joseph Abboud rug collection with an exciting launch party on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at the company’s new showroom at 295 Fifth Avenue in New York City. The event, which was co-hosted by Joseph Abboud Creative Director, Bernardo Rojo, was well attended by members of the trade and consumer media as well as key buyers and retailers in the region. Nourison is a member of the ORIA.
The collection includes powerloom woven and handmade rugs in a full range of sizes and styles. The rugs are reflective of the Joseph Abboud brand and made at Nourison’s manufacturing facilities. The first collection will be available at the High Point Home Furnishings Market in October 2011.
“Joseph Abboud represents a timeless elegance, refinement, quality and classic style, which are also attributes that define the Nourison brand” said Alex Peykar, principal at Nourison. “I am confident that their brand recognition and appeal, coupled with our expertise in rug technology, manufacturing and distribution will lead to a successful program that will be beneficial to both companies,” he added.
“We’re delighted to work with a company that has established itself as a leader in the global floor covering industry. Nourison’s manufacturing abilities combined with their focus on quality product and superior service is unparalleled. This partnership underscores our strategy to work with best-in-class licensees as the Joseph Abboud® brand continues to expand,” said Kenton Selvey, President of JA Brand Group.
The partnership with Nourison is a part of an aggressive strategy to expand the Joseph Abboud brand as a leader in designer, premier lifestyle products across all categories of fashion and home products. At the same time, this licensing agreement will expand Nourison’s portfolio of home products into the realm of contemporary, high fashion that is characteristic of the Joseph Abboud brand. JA Creative Director, Bernardo Rojo will work closely with the Nourison development team on the design aesthetic and point of view of the rug collection.
