Nourison Names New Marketing Director

SADDLE BROOK, NJ — June 21, 2011… Nourison Industries, a leading global manufacturer and supplier of rugs and floorcovering, has appointed Thomas Itty as Marketing Director.  Thomas brings over 20 years of marketing and advertising experience to the company.  Most recently, he was Marketing & Business Development Manager at CLG Insurance. Thomas will be responsible for all marketing and promotional efforts at Nourison including consumer and trade events, public relations, advertising, web and social media. He will also oversee Nourison’s in-house marketing department that produces a variety of high-quality advertising and sales collateral.

“Thomas is a key hire for our company and will play a vital role in contributing to our future growth,” said Alex Peykar, principal at Nourison. “He brings with him a wealth of advertising, media and marketing experience drawn from various industries and job functions.”

Itty started his career as a copywriter and designer in advertising. This was followed by positions as Creative Director at GLM Shows, a leading trade show management company, and Marketing & Design Services Manager at Magjak, a company specializing in data-driven direct marketing. He has a Master’s degree in Media Studies from Queens College and an MBA in Marketing Management from Pace University.
