NYICS Finds New Home

Staying true to its boutique positioning, the NYICS tradeshow announces its move to a venue that can accommodate the growing show while still providing an environment rich in charming character and history. The Tunnel NY, located at 224 12th Avenue in the West Chelsea Historic District of Manhattan, will host NYICS this year from September 11-13.

“There’s an undeniable warmth,” stated Murtaza Ahmadi, NYICS executive producer. “You can feel the history as you walk through this enchanting space of exposed bricks and larger than life columns. It’s a place that honors workmanship and storytelling, making it a perfect home for NYICS.”

Conveniently located near hotels, restaurants and galleries, the Tunnel NY is just a ½ mile from the Javitz Center. The High Line, an out-of-use railroad trestle turned public greenspace attracting five million people a year, is only a block away.

The Tunnel NY, also known as Terminal Warehouse, was originally home to twin rail lines that ran through the space. The NYICS event space resides in the center of the 1.2 million-square-foot brick Waterfront NY building which spans a full city block. With sections dating back to 1891, the building received major upgrades last year after undergoing a $50 million renovation installing fiber optic cables, a new heating and cooling system, and new elevators. Historic details have been preserved such as original rough-hewed beams, original pine floors and cast-iron columns.

Opportunities for exhibiting and sponsorship are available now. To learn more, companies may contact the executive producer Murtaza Ahmadi by emailing murtaza@nyics.com or calling 323-404-5822.
