OBITUARY: EBRAHIM AZIZ , Industry Leader, Dies at 83
The ORIA is saddened to report the passing of Ebrahim Aziz, founder of Ebrahim Aziz & Sons and one of the most respected merchants in the rug industry. Born in 1926 in Mashad, Iran, Ebrahim established his carpet business in that country in the late 1950’s. Upon immigrating to the US, he joined his brothers Amir, Jerry and Michael in a new rug venture, Aziz Brothers. Established in 1967, he continued with the firm until 1986, at which time Ebrahim founded his own company with his sons. The firm, Ebrahim Aziz & Sons, was closed in 2004 when Ebrahim retired.

Ebrahim is survived by his five sons, Bijan, Bahman, Babak, Bahram and Behrouz; his three grandchildren; two brothers and a sister.
