Peykar Receives American Heritage Award
On June 18th, The National Home Furnishings Industry Anti-Defamation League presented Alex Peykar with the prestigious American Heritage Award at their Annual Awards Tribute. The event was attended by over 500 people and helped raise over $750,000 for the ADL. Robert Levin president of Levin Furniture and Robert Maricich CEO of International Market Centers were also honored at the event. Kathy Ireland introduced Alex and spoke highly about Nourison, their commitment to community and family and their positive impact on the home furnishings industry.
“I am honored and humbled to be presented with this award. The ADL has a long-standing history of fighting discrimination and protecting civil rights. All of us at Nourison are proud to be recognized by this incredible organization and are happy to further help this beneficial cause,” said Alex Peykar, president at Nourison.
The American Heritage Award was established to honor business leaders that personify the ideals of this nation and the spirit of the Anti-Defamation League and serve as an example to others for their leadership, dedication and energy. Alex and the Peykar family were recognized for their work as good citizens, their support for the community and their efforts over the last 35 years that have made Nourison a leader in the home furnishings industry.
