Sphinx Renews High Point & Las Vegas Leases

ORIA member company Sphinx by Oriental Weavers has inked dual-coast deals with International Market Centers introducing a new east coast showroom at the International Home Furnishings Center in High Point, N.C. in anticipation for the upcoming October High Point Market, Oct. 22-27, and renewing their west coast space at Las Vegas Market at World Market Center Las Vegas through 2014

This deal marks the first of many expected dual-market lease arrangements under International Market Centers’ new corporate platform, which has brought together 11.5 million square feet of showroom space in High Point and Las Vegas under one unified organization since its announced inception in May of this year.

“Both the High Point and Las Vegas markets attract customers from all across the U.S., but many of them either attend one market or the other”, said Aaron Gray, marketing director of Sphinx by Oriental Weavers. “High Point is a critical national market and our new IHFC showroom gives us a premium location for our customers to shop. Many of our furniture-based customers and national accounts also make major buying decisions at the Las Vegas Market, as well as some of the furniture buying groups we sell have showrooms at World Market Center.  So it makes it convenient for them if we have a showroom there, where they are able to view the majority of our line to make buying decisions.”

Sphinx by Oriental Weavers’ new showroom at IHFC is 3,700 square feet and will be located in Suite G-361. Their renewed Las Vegas Market space is 6,500 square feet and is located in Building B, Suite B-580.

“There seems to be more optimism with customers and they are updating their showroom floors with area rugs and other accessories,” Gray said. “It is important that Oriental Weavers has a presence at both markets so we can make things more convenient for all customers, and accommodate their needs to make decisions.”
