Nourison Supports Design On A Dime Benefit With Rug Donations

Nourison donated area rugs and home accents to five vignettes, including Bailey Li Interiors, Beth Diana Smith Interior Design, Elissa Grayer Interior Design, Francis Interiors, and Saudah Saleem Interiors for Housing Works’ 15thannual Design on a Dime benefit in New York City. The benefit featured one-of-a-kind vignettes curated by over 70 nationally recognized interior designers on April 25-27that the Metropolitan Pavilion. Guests were able to shop the vignettes filed with furniture, homewares, art and more at 50-80% off retail prices. This is the fourth consecutive year that Nourison has donated to Design on a Dime and Francis Interiors vignettes. Nourison previously donated to Saudah Saleem Interiors in 2018, and Elissa Grayer Interior Design in 2017. Bailey Li Interiorsvignette, “Lover and a Fighter” is an ode to Li’s father, Willie L. Bailey, who lost his battle with HIV/AIDS. The vignette featured the Nourison Twilight rug (TWI11 Flint), which fits into the masculine yet artsy locker room style with several vintage elements. “The luxe, hand-sewn sheepskin heavy bag and hair-on-hide boxing gloves are part of my “Will Power” collection featuring custom, made-to-order products. The entire inspiration for my very special vignette stems from juxtaposing my late father’s love for all things luxurious, paired with urban street culture,” explains Li. Beth Diana Smith Interior Design“Cultural Oasis” vignette featured the Nourison Radiant rug (RAD04 Ivory Multicolor) in vibrant jewel tones with distressed details. “I wanted a lot of global influence between black artisans, Moroccan-inspired lighting, pendants – literally handmade in Africa, beautiful textures, beautiful colors, a lot of pattern and a lot of jewel tones. I wanted it to be a very beautiful fantasy,” says Smith. Elissa Grayer Interior Designvignette was inspired by Phillip Jeffries wallpaper in green and gold, with a warm and rich feel, and featured three Calvin Klein Home Mesa rugs (MSA01 Gypsum). “It’s an eclectic living room you might find in New York City where someone’s got a lot of found objects and they just pulled them all together to make a very detailed and layered feel,” says Grayer. Francis Interiors“Gossip Gurl” vignette featured the bold floral Nourison Tropics rug (TS05 Black), a custom-sized Cosmopolitan rug in the Celestial design (C95F Midnight), and Mina Victory pillows, including sequin embroidery and illustration details, rhinestone embellished skulls, and quilted velvet with Swarovski details. “I was inspired by the popular tv show, Gossip Girl, to create something lavish, girly, extravagant, and very “rich girl living in Manhattan”. Everything is pink, black, and gold,” says Francis Toumbakaris of Francis Interiors. Nourison Donates Product For Annual Design On A Dime Benefit

Nourison donated product to vignettes for Francis Interiors and Saudah Saleem Interiors at Housing Works’ 14th Annual Design on a Dime benefit in New York City. The benefit presented 68 one-of-a-kind vignettes curated by over 70 top interior designers on April 26-28th at the Metropolitan Pavilion. Guests had the opportunity to shop the vignettes filled with furniture, homewares, art, and more at 50-80% off retail prices. Francis Interiors “Memoirs of a Gay-sha” vignette featured the abstract Silk Shadows rug (SHA10 Sterling) with shimmering highlights and contrasting icy shades of silver, kathy ireland Home Malta rug with a traditional bordered delicate leaf and vine design (MAl01 Navy), and Calvin Klein Home Lunar rug (LUN1 Klein Blue) detailed with a luminescent radiance and velvet-like texture. A Signature Hardware stainless steel tub was filled with Mina Victory velvet, felt, beaded and shag pillows. Mina Victory laser cut leather pillows and faux fur and cotton throws also accented the space. “My inspiration for this year’s theme is a wonderful custom print paper from Phillip Jeffries called ‘Blossom’, which always takes me to Japan, and the ultimate geisha of all times, Kim Chi of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 8,” says Francis Toumbakaris of Francis Interiors. Saudah Saleem Interiors featured the Karma rug (KRM01 Blue) with special tonal treatments that give an heirloom-like appearance and Mina Victory Couture metallic laser-embossed hair-on-hide rug (BR100) in Beige Gold. Saudah Saleem’s vignette was inspired by color, culture and a touch of glam. “The space featured bold eclectic design, styled in layers, filled with eye catching saturated jewel tones, silks, velvets and metallic finishes. Layering rugs is such a great way to add color, texture and dimension in a space,” says Saleem. The benefit presented 60+ unbelievable vignettes from top designers on April 26-29th at the Metropolitan Pavilion. Elissa Grayer Interior Design included Nourison’s abstract Twilight rug (TWI24) in Blue and Ivory in a pink and navy themed vignette. Francis Interiors “Fifty Shades of Grey” vignette featured the Maxell rug (MAE01) in Ivory Grey, Calvin Klein Home Lunar rug in Storm (LUN1) detailed with a luminescent radiance and velvet-like texture, and kathy ireland Home Studio shag (KI900) in Silver. “As Grey is my favorite color, I wanted to do something monochromatic,” says Francis Toumbakaris of Francis Interiors.
